Knowledge for sustainable use
Pioneers in the geothermal industry for nearly a century
ÍSOR is an Icelandic leading international provider of scientific and technical expertise to the geothermal industry, both high and low temperature resources. Team of world class experts with decades of experience, extensive datasets and know-how, is our most valuable asset.
Effective, sustainable development and utilization of geothermal resources requires an accurate knowledge of their long-term production capacity and careful management at all times. This includes close monitoring of the system during energy production and mitigation of any potential environmental impacts. However, the foundation for all this is our geoscience expertise and professional preparation. Therefore, ÍSOR is your ideal partner.
Our experience in providing services, home and abroad, to the geothermal industry; power production, district heating systems and other geothermal utilization spans nearly a century.
ÍSOR's legal mandate is to carry out projects and research in nature, energy and other resource matters, and to provide advice across most areas of geothermal utilisation.
ÍSOR operates commercially in a competitive market, in Iceland and internationally, serving the energy sector, public authorities and global clients in geothermal energy, groundwater, marine geoscience and environmental work.
